Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Ancho puree *see note
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 9in. unbaked pie shell
Directions
- Melt butter and let cool to warm.
- Toast nuts until lightly brown.
- Beat eggs well, add sugar and flour.
- Beat until smooth and mix in warm butter.
- Add chile puree.
- Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Pour into pie shell and bake at 325 degrees for 45 - 60 minutes.
- Serve with whipped cream.
