Ingredients

    •  2 teaspoons Ancho puree *see note
    •  1/2 pound butter
    •  1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    •  1/2 cup chopped pecans
    •  2 eggs
    •  1/2 cup sugar
    •  1/2 cup flour
    •  1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    •  9in. unbaked pie shell

Directions

    • Melt butter and let cool to warm.
    • Toast nuts until lightly brown.
    • Beat eggs well, add sugar and flour.
    • Beat until smooth and mix in warm butter.
    • Add chile puree.
    • Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    • Pour into pie shell and bake at 325 degrees for 45 - 60 minutes.
    • Serve with whipped cream.
